Why Live Bee Removal Is Important

One thing that most people do not stress or seem to care about is the fact that not all bees are bad. In fact, there are at least one species of bees that are vital to the survival of the human race! Honeybees are responsible for pollinating a significant portion of commercial farms, orchards, and gardens in Australia. It depends on the species of plant that is in the field, but in certain cases honeybees are responsible for pollinating up to 80% of the field.

If all the honeybees in Australia disappeared there would be significant food storage, and a majority of our favorite fruits and vegetables would cost an arm and a leg. Melons, especially watermelons would virtually disappear since honeybees are responsible for pollinating these types of fields!

Let’s face it, these annoying little buggers are vital for our species, and sadly their population is not doing too good due to Colony Collapse Disorder! A bee disappearing is a serious problem for both the amateur and professional beekeepers.  Thankfully, there is something you can do to help! Perform a live removal of any honeybee hives that might pop up on your property. We realize that this might seem like it would be a pain but it really isn’t.

3 Types of Live Removal

There are 3 options that you have when it comes to the removal of bees, and these really should only be attempted with honeybees. There really is no major reason why you should have a live removal of a wasp nest unless you feel sorry for the little buggers!

Your first option would be to pay a Bee and Wasp Control Brisbane professional to do it!  This option might suck since you have to pay for it, but it would be the least amount of hassle!  Most exterminators will offer the same price for live removal, but it depends on the company. You will be surprised that it is pretty cheap to have professionals do it for you.

The second option you have is finding a beekeeper that is looking for bees and is willing to come out to your property to get them. This only works for honeybees, but since their population has been declining a lot of beekeepers is always looking for more bees. You would actually be surprised to find out how easy it would be to find someone. Call around to local farms, and ask if they have their own bees.

The last option you have is to do it yourself.  This is really not an option for most people for really simple reasons. The main reason is that it is significantly more dangerous to do a live beehive removal then it would be to kill the bees. The second problem you are going to have is that you will not have any bee boxes to store the bees or have anywhere to transport them to if you actually managed to get the honeycombs.
